Tobermory is hands down one of the most beautiful places I’ve visited in Ontario. The water is unbelievably clear and turquoise — it almost feels like you're somewhere tropical! We hiked to the Grotto in Bruce Peninsula National Park, and the views were absolutely stunning. Make sure to book your parking in advance though, because it fills up fast. We also took a glass-bottom boat tour to Flowerpot Island, which was a great experience. The rock formations and trails on the island were amazing, and we even spotted some shipwrecks beneath the water. It’s a peaceful and scenic escape that’s perfect for nature lovers and families alike. The town itself is small and charming, with nice local shops and restaurants. Overall, Tobermory is a gem — highly recommended for a weekend getaway or even a day trip if you’re nearby!

It’s an experience to be had!! We went hiking well prepared. We brought along water shoes , towels and snacks and stopped at all the lake view points along the hike and rested, enjoyed the rocky waters. Water shoes are important as the rocks are super slippery. Enjoyed the views while having our snacks.

Tobermory Review Tobermory is one of the most beautiful places I’ve visited, and it’s truly a paradise for nature and adventure lovers . The shipwrecks are absolutely amazing – something very unique that makes Tobermory stand out. These historic wrecks (dating back to the 90s and earlier) give a whole new vibe to the water experience . A must-visit is Flowerpot Island – the crystal-clear waters, stunning rock formations, and hiking spots make it magical. Just remember: there aren’t many food options on the island , so carry your own food, snacks, and lots of water . Be prepared for the sun – you can easily get a tan here, so don’t forget sunscreen , caps , and sunglasses to stay comfortable. In the main Tobermory area, the food, cocktails , ice creams , and coffee are really good – perfect for relaxing after a day full of water adventures. The ship rides are beautiful and scenic – a must-do if you want to explore the area fully. For adventure seekers, there’s scuba diving , kayaking , and plenty of other water activities to enjoy. The clear turquoise waters make it even more fun . Everywhere you go, you’ll find photo-worthy spots – from the harbor to the island views. Overall, Tobermory is a must-visit destination in Ontario for anyone who loves nature, water activities, and unique experiences. The shipwrecks and Flowerpot Island alone make it unforgettable . Tobermory is truly one of the prettiest small towns in Ontario. I recently visited and absolutely loved my time there. The crystal-clear turquoise waters, rocky shoreline, and fresh air make it feel like a hidden paradise. One of the highlights was taking the ferry to Flowerpot Island, the rock formations, caves, and hiking trails were amazing. I also enjoyed exploring the Bruce Peninsula National Park, especially the Grotto. The water was so clear and blue, it looked like the Caribbean. The town itself is small but charming. There are cute shops, restaurants, and little ice cream places. It can get busy in peak season, so I recommend going early in the day or visiting during weekdays if you want to avoid crowds. Parking can be tricky, so plan ahead. If you love nature, hiking, or just relaxing by the water, Tobermory is perfect. Make sure to pack good walking shoes and a camera because you’ll want to capture every view. I’d definitely go back again, it’s a beautiful spot for families, couples, or solo travelers alike.
